CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – The physical medicine department at Sanford Chamberlain will offer free sports injury clinics on Saturdays August 27 through October 15.
The clinics are available for all high school and middle school students in the Chamberlain, Kimball, Lower Brule, Lyman and Crow Creek school districts.
The clinic will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday during those dates at the physical medicine department at Sanford Chamberlain at 300 S Byron Blvd. Please use the outside door located just southeast of the front entrance. Students should not enter through the emergency department.
"The clinic will give a chance for students who are injured during Friday night sporting events to get treatment right away,” said certified and licensed athletic trainer, Emily Dorwart. “The injury may not be serious enough to go to the emergency room, but if treatment can start on Saturday instead of waiting until Monday, it will speed up the healing process.”
